Margie Fister – Brookville

Margaret E. Fister, of Brookville, was born on February 28, 1940 in Madison, Wisconsin a daughter to Raymond and Della Wilson Pauley.  She served her country in the United States Air Force and attended the University of Wisconsin on an Airforce Scholarship, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.  On February 5, 1966 Margie married Ron Fister at Little Flower Church in Cincinnati and together they raised four children.  She worked as a physical therapist at Fayette Memorial Hospital and also at Home Health in Dearborn County.  Margie was a member of St. Michael Church, enjoyed gardening and her birds and blooms – but she especially loved spending time with her family.  On Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the age of 78, she peacefully met the Lord surrounded by her loving family.

 

Those surviving who will cherish Margie’s memory include her husband of 53 years, Ron Fister; children, Stephen (friend-Angie) Fister, Deborah (Dave) Lakin, Barbara (Kevin) Fister, and Kathleen (Scott) Harper, all of Brookville; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Pete, Richard, Rick and Chris Pauley, and one sister, Marilyn Stephenson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4 until 8 p.m.  Rosary will be recited at 3:30.  Father Vincent Lampert will celebrate Margie’s life at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Guardian Angel’s Oratory.  The Brookville American Legion Bernard Hurst Post #77 will perform military graveside honors in the church cemetery.
