Marcella M. Henry, 92, of Dillsboro passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at The Waters of Dillsboro-Ross Manor. Marcella was born Wednesday, January 25, 1928 in Elizabethtown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lillian (Ross) and Alfred McKinley. She married Robert Henry and he preceded her in death in 1975. Marcella retired from The Waters of Dillsboro. She was a member of the American Legion ladies auxiliary in Dillsboro and enjoyed playing the piano, she loved music. Her hobbies included gardening and doing yard work. She also enjoyed reading the bible and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marcella is survived by her children Gary Lee Henry (Jenny) of Greendale and Lynne Lyon of Batavia, Ohio; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews that she treated as her own and several friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son Donald Ray Henry, daughter Kathy McKeever, three sisters, and four brothers.
A visitation will be held 9 – 11 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday also at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given in honor of Marcella to the Alzheimer Association or Breast Cancer.
