Man killed in Sunday night crash in Bright identified

(Bright, IN) – We now know the name of the man who was killed in Sunday night’s three-vehicle crash in Bright.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office says 60-year-old Gordon Justis of Lawrenceburg died in the wreck that happened on Stateline Road near Megrue Drive around 10 pm.

Justis was driving south on Stateline when he drifted left of center and collided with two other vehicles.

(Bright, IN) – A 60-year-old Lawrenceburg man is dead following a three-vehicle crash on the 24,000 block of Stateline Road in Bright late Sunday night.

Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry says the man was driving south on Stateline Road near Megrue Drive just before 10 pm when he drifted left of center and sideswiped a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old and then immediately collided with the front of a truck driven by a 20-year-old man.

Despite first responders’ lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

The other two drivers, who are both from West Harrison, cooperated with investigators.

Stateline Road was shut down for about four hours during the investigation.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit, Bright Fire, Bright EMS, and the Dearborn County Coroner.
