Man found in cemetery died from self-inflicted wound

Everton, IN — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Thursday on the body found in Everton Cemetery this week.

Investigators have determined that the man, who is from the Everton area, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Fayette County Coroner and Indiana State Police assisted in the investigation.

It was the second body to be found in a Fayette County Cemetery in the past four months.

The body of 53-year-old Thomas Combs was discovered in Dale Cemetery in Connersville back in August.

Indiana State Police say he died from a gunshot wound.

Combs’ death remains under investigation.
