North Vernon, IN—A Jennings County man was arrested on Easter Sunday for holding three teenagers at gunpoint in a Country Squire Lakes residence. Sunday afternoon, Jennings County Deputies took a report from three teenagers that a neighbor in Country Squire Lakes forced his way into a home, where all three teenagers were located, and held all three of them at gunpoint. The man threatened the teenagers before finally leaving the residence.
Alphonso E. Barnett, 50, of North Vernon was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Jennings County Jail on allegations of Burglary Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Confinement Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Intimidation with Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.
