Malcolm E. “Mac” Youngman

Malcolm E. “Mac” Youngman, age 83 of Batesville, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his home. Born April 25, 1936 in Batesville, he is the son of Edna (Nee: Barnes) and Jacob Youngman. He married Virginia Marcum June 26, 1976 at St. Louis Church. Mac served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He spent his working career in real estate and was the longtime owner of Youngman Reality.

He loved raising a large garden and canning the excess to enjoy during the winter. In his younger years he liked hunting and fishing and was an advocate of planting trees. Mac was also a Notre Dame fan and started the Pee Wee football program in Batesville.

He is survived by his wife Virginia; sons Jacob Youngman of Greensburg, Jonathon Youngman of Batesville; grandsons Elijah and Hunter Youngman, Jacob Ison and D.J. Koors. He has three sisters and four brothers.

Due to the Governor’s mandate of gatherings being limited to 50 people, a private visitation and funeral service will be held Friday. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
