Main Street seeking matching grant to honor local women

Batesville, IN—On Monday, Batesville City Council granted Batesville Main Street $15,000 from Belterra Funds to help as a sign of intent towards a Women’s Legacy Grant through Indiana Humanities in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, protecting women’s constitutional right to vote. This grant provides a dollar for dollar match to move projects forward to enhance our downtown district.

The Project would be enhancing the current Bike Park in downtown Batesville to be a more usable, friendly space that honors multi-generations of Batesville women.  If you are interested in learning more about this project, contact Batesville Main Street by visiting their Facebook page and messaging them. Pledges large and small toward this project will be gratefully accepted until this coming Monday, June 15th. Community support is a great enhancement to any grant application.
