(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Main Street has launched the search for a new Executive Director to lead the organization and its efforts to strengthen, promote, and revitalize downtown.
This comes after Amy Lunsford took the City of Batesville Economic Development Director’s position.
She began her new duties on Monday.
The Executive Director serves as organization’s chief executive officer and is responsible for advancing the mission of Batesville Main Street through strategic leadership, economic development, fundraising, partnership cultivation, and preservation-based downtown revitalization.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will oversee daily operations, implement the organization’s strategic vision, and serve as the primary advocate for downtown Batesville, according to the organization.
“We are seeking a dynamic and community-minded leader who is passionate about downtown revitalization and building strong partnerships,” said organization chair Blaine Timonera. “This is an exciting opportunity to build upon the organization’s momentum and help shape the future of Downtown Batesville and our community as a whole.”
Key responsibilities include implementing the organization’s strategic plan, coordinating volunteer committees, overseeing signature community events, managing fundraising and grant initiatives, supporting business recruitment and retention, and representing Batesville Main Street throughout the community and across the state.
Candidates with experience in nonprofit leadership, economic or community development, fundraising, communications, event management, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Applications will be accepted through August 10 or until the position is filled.
