Lynn David Ritchison, 84 of Scipio

Lynn David Ritchison, 84, of Scipio passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1942, in Columbus, Indiana the son of Gerald and Dorthy (Kyle) Ritchison. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and a lifelong resident of Decatur and Jennings County’s. He loved International Tractors, going to farm shows and eating breakfast at the Little Red Kitchen in North Vernon. He married Judy Diann Sipes on April 14, 2000, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She preceded him in death on August 22, 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Brian) French of Greensburg; his son, Jay Patrick Ritchison of Franklin; sister,   Brenda (James) Oldham of Westport; grandchildren, Kyle French, Julie (John) Kirchhoff, Bryce (Mary Smith) French, Chaena (Bud) Campbell, Isaac “Jake” (Jessica) Ritchison, Jeremy (Anissa) Ritchison and Casey Ritchison (Joseph); great grandchildren, Myrissa, Ella, Izzy, Hallie, Brooks, Liam, Aiden, Braydon, Aurora and Saige. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judy. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Shawn Ogle officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 11:30 until time of service at 2:30 at the funeral home.
