Loretta M. Steinfort, of Sunman, was born on May 16, 1936, in Brookville, Indiana, a daughter to Rueben L. and Anna Marie Wickemeyer Roberts. She graduated from Sunman High School and later married Donnell Steinfort on September 14, 1957, at Sunman Community Church. They called Sunman home and raised their two children there. Loretta worked for Cincinnati Bell and then worked for and retired from McPhersons. She enjoyed country music concerts, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Loretta was a member of Sunman Community Church. On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the age of 87, she passed away at Ridgewood Health in Lawrenceburg.
Those surviving who will cherish Loretta’s memory include her daughter, Sheila and husband Jerry Dick, son Daren and his wife Suzie, and one grandson, Dillon Steinfort. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Kelch, Martha Thomas, and Mary Anne Kahler.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, at 1p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
