Loretta Louise Schipper Henry, 99, of Rotonda West, Florida, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, in Sarasota, Florida.
She was born December 30, 1922, in Aurora, IN, daughter of the late Louis B Schipper and Philomena (Englert) Schipper.
Loretta worked as a hair dresser and cashier. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Aurora Legion, a life member of Aurora VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Daughters of American Veterans.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and plastic crafts.
Loretta is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane (late Marty) Henry of Englewood, FL; loving grandsons, Matthew Henry of Englewood, FL, Mark Henry of Goosecreek, SC, Michael Henry of Rotonda West, FL; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Jonathan, Lori, and Julie Henry; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Philomena; husband, Herschel Elbert Henry; sons, Herschel “Marty” Henry, and Gary Wayne Henry; brothers, Louis B. Schipper and George Schipper; sister, Ida Mae Sawyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 203 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Daniel Mahan officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
