Longtime Napoleon firefighter passes away following lengthy bout with Leukemia

NAPOLEON, IN — The Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department and the surrounding community are mourning the passing of a longtime firefighter.

Craig Simon passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 40 following a lengthy battle with Leukemia and other complications.

He was first diagnosed with Leukemia in 2017

Simon was a 22-year member of the Napoleon Fire Department.

He served in various roles with the department, including a brief stint as Chief.
