Longtime educator, coach passes away

MILAN, IN — A longtime teacher, administrator, and coach in Southeastern Indiana has passed away.

David Wall died early Tuesday morning at Hospice of Cincinnati West following a bout with cancer. He was 68.

Wall spent his entire 36-year education career in the Milan School Corporation. He taught at the elementary level and went on to serve as Vice Principal at Milan Elementary.

He also coached the Milan Indians girls’ basketball team for several years and was named ORVC Coach of the Year in 1989.

Wall later coached the Oldenburg Academy Twisters girls’ basketball team.

He served as Milan’s varsity baseball coach and was named ORVC Coach of the Year in 1988.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Milan.
