COLUMBUS, Ohio. — Authorities swarmed the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio, this morning in response to an active shooter report.
One suspect is dead, according to the Columbus Department of Public Safety.
Eight people were transported to local hospitals.
At least one person was listed in critical condition.
Two of the eight people transported are in stable condition, authorities said.
Ohio State University Emergency Management first tweeted the active shooter warning at 9:56 a.m.
The lock-down was lifted around 11:30 AM and classes have been canceled for the rest of the day.
