(Milan, IN) – The local firefighting community is mourning the passing of one of its own.
Jarred Meinders died unexpectedly at his home in Milan on Saturday.
Meinders was president of the Delaware Fire Department and a member of Batesville Fire and Rescue.
Fire departments and rescue units throughout Southeastern Indiana have expressed their condolences on social media.
Jarred Meinders was 48 and will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
