Local blood drive being called a success

Batesville, IN — The 19th annual WRBI/St. Louis Church/Hoxworth blood drive on Wednesday is being called a success.

Seventy-eight volunteers showed up at the St. Louis Parish Activity Center to donate.

Hoxworth says 67 units of blood were collected, and that a potential 201 lives were saved through the community’s donations. There were also 6 first-time donors.

Hoxworth is the sole provider of blood products to over 30 Tri-State hospitals, including Margaret Mary Health.
