Linda Carol Ishler

Linda Carol Ishler, of Milan, was born on February 20, 1948 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of James and Effie Burns Dewberry.  She was employed by the Ohio Department of Public Safety where she served as Director of EMS.  Linda was an active member of Women Armed and Ready as well the Eagle Scouts with her two children.  Christmas was her favorite holiday – she loved collecting Christmas music boxes and Santa’s, another favorite was Longaberger baskets.  In her spare time she also enjoyed sewing.  On Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the age of 69, Linda passed away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Those surviving who will honor Linda’s memory include her sons, Shannon Roblin of Marysville, OH, and Joseph Thomas of Milan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews; great, great, great nieces and nephews; many friends, and Breanna – who Linda considered a granddaughter.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clay Baker and Richard Dewberry.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Pastor Bill Secrest of the First Baptist Church in Aurora will officiate the service and burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman.
