(Greensburg, IN) — The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library is taking Banned Books Week beyond the bookshelf with a combination read-in and walk through Rebekah Park.

BANNED BOOKS WEEK READ-IN-WALK-OUT
WHEN: Monday, Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library and Rebekah Park
LENGTH: About one hour
WHO: Adults only
REGISTRATION: Required
Participants will take a short walk through the library’s Sally Crane StoryWalk® and pass through Rebekah Park while listening to one of two audiobook selections provided by Libro.fm.
The choices are Banned Together and How to Defend Books and Why.
Libro.fm is a Unite Against Book Bans partner and is hosting Banned Books Week read-ins with libraries during the Oct. 4-10 observance.
The Greensburg event will include a 30-minute walk in one direction and another 30 minutes back for a total of about one hour. Participants are not required to keep pace with the group and can walk at their own comfortable speed.
FREE AUDIOBOOK FOR EVERY ATTENDEE
Everyone taking part in the read-in will leave with a free audiobook.
The program is for adults only, and registration is required.
