Leonard C. Bauer

Leonard C Bauer, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away October 30, 2017 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

He was born July 3, 1926 in Aurora, IN, son of the late Leonard George and Irene Pastner Bauer.
Leonard served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army and Army Air Corp.

He worked as a machinist for Fernald, retiring after over 37 years of service.

Leonard was a lifetime member of St Mary’s Catholic Church. He loved farming, and enjoyed the cattle. Leonard loved to be outdoors, and had a great sense of humor. He had a strong faith, and loved his family.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Agnes Bauer of Moores Hill, IN; children, Leonard (Barb) Bauer of Aurora, IN, Martha (Bill) Bishop of Moores Hill, IN, Michael (Amy) Bauer of Aurora, IN, Mark (Juanita) Bauer of Moores Hill, IN, Daniel (Sherry) Bauer of Aurora, IN, Michelle (Marty) Short of Moores Hill, IN;siblings, Richard (Rhodonna) Bauer of Aurora, IN, Mary (Dick Snell) Cornelius of Burlington, KY; two Sister-in-laws, Mary Jo (late Bob) Bauer of Monroe, OH, Jean (late Raymond) Bauer of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Erica (Brian) Alsip, Greg (Rachel) Bishop, Kevin Bishop, Alison (Marshall) Williamson, Mikey Bauer, Kristen Bauer, Danielle Bauer, Matthew Bauer, Robert Schwarz, Joshua Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Conner and Zeke Alsip, Katherine and Rebecca Bishop, Kolt Klayman, and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Bauer, and Bob Bauer.

Friends will be received at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Aurora, Indiana, Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, with Father Stephen Donahue officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
