(Brookville, IN) – A young boy from Metamora will set up a lemonade stand on Main Street in Brookville on Saturday to raise funds for the Franklin County Humane Society.
The mother of 8-year-old Dawson says he will be selling lemonade from 12:30 until 4 p.m. unless sold out beforehand in front of Whiskey Wrangler Mercantile.
“Recently, we visited the humane society to have a feral cat spayed before returning her home. While we were there, Dawson absolutely fell in love with all the cats and started asking questions about how the shelter operates,” she said. “When he learned that they rely heavily on donations and volunteers, he immediately decided—on his own—that he wanted to help. Without hesitation, he announced that he would host a lemonade stand and donate all proceeds to the humane society.”
At the stand:
- Lemonade will be $2 per cup.
- There will be a donation bin for pet supplies and food.
- Monetary donations will also be accepted.
- Handmade car scent difusers will be on sale for $10 each.
- There will be a raffle featuring a “Spa Day” basket and a “Snack Time” basket.
All proceeds will go directly to the Franklin County Humane Society.
Whiskey Wrangler Mercantile is donating a portion of its sales that day to the cause.
