Oldenburg, In. — The deadline to apply for the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship is Friday, Nov. 30.
Created by the Indiana General Assembly in 2016, the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship establishes 200 scholarships that pay up to $7,500 annually for students who commit to teaching in Indiana for five years after their college graduation.
To qualify, students must either graduate in the highest 20 percent of their high school class or earn a score in the top 20th percentile on the SAT or ACT. To continue earning the scholarship in college, students must earn at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and complete at least 30 credit hours per year.
Finalists will be chosen by Friday, Jan. 4, and will participate in regional interviews in March. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 5.
