Indianapolis, In. — Republican state senator from Oldenburg Jean Leising recently honored members of the Future Farmers of America with Senate Concurrent Resolution 6.
During FFA Week, SCR 6 recognizes the organization, which was established in 1928, for its work to advance the quality of agriculture education locally and nationally.
The FFA is an important organization for students in Indiana and nationwide. As a farmer, Leising understands the impact this organization has on preparing youth for agriculture-related careers. The group continues to dedicate efforts to tirelessly better communities and the state.
FFA Page Day, which is held during FFA Week, gives more than 60 FFA members the chance to tour the Statehouse, learn about state government and meet with legislators.
