Legislative update offered in Decatur County

Greensburg, In. — (Submitted)The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Legislative Update on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at the Decatur County REMC Community Room, 1430 W. Main St., Greensburg. Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the event will begin at 8:30 a.m.

State Lawmakers serving Decatur County are expected to be in attendance to discuss the 2019 Legislative session underway in Indianapolis. Those Legislators are, House Representative Randall Frye (R-District 67, Greensburg), and State Senators Chip Perfect (R-District 43, Lawrenceburg), and Jean Leising, (R-District 42, Oldenburg). Representative Cindy Ziemke (R-District 55, Oldenburg), will not be able to attend, due to a prior commitment.

Also attending and addressing the public will be John Moton, Regional Director for U.S. Senator Mike Braun.

The State Legislators will be allowed 10 minutes to discuss their views and plans for the current session and that will be followed by questions from constituents. Moton will give a brief update from Sen. Braun’s office and will be available to discuss concerns with the public following the event, which is scheduled to conclude by 9:45 a.m.
