(Lawrenceburg, IN) – A Lawrenceburg High School student was taken into custody after they were found to be in possession of a gun at school.
Administrators were tipped off Wednesday that a student may be in possession of a gun.
School Resource Officers and administrators responded and a search of the student’s belongings turned up an unloaded gun without ammunition.
School officials say students and staff were never in any danger and the student was detained by SROs until being picked up by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
It’s not clear at this time if charges will be filed against the student.
