
It marks the official start of the General Assembly which begins January 5.
The ceremonial tradition is set aside to swear-in newly elected lawmakers and select a Speaker of the House by state representatives.
“We won’t be coming back officially to start work until January 5,” State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) said Tuesday.
“We got our agenda and now we are getting things in order and getting ready for the session.”
