LaVerne A. (Bradford) Whitham, 65, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 in Edgewood, KY.
She was born May 10, 1955 in Batesville, IN, daughter of the late Luke Bradford and Elverna (Nordmeyer) Bradford.
She was a member of Aurora Order of Eagles , Aurora Women of the Moose, and Lawrenceburg American Legion Auxiliary. LaVerne was a Cage Cashier at the Grand Victoria Casino. She worked in sales at Gardens Alive and received multiple awards for top sales. She was the manager at Cut Rate Liquor, The Party Store, and Arties Pub. She also enjoyed reading, adult coloring, word search puzzles, watching Law & Order, and The Big Bang Theory. In her earlier years, she stayed active by being known as a tough but good aerobics instructor at Hadley’s Exercise Studio. LaVerne always had a smile and was friended by everyone. She will be missed by family and friends.
LaVerne is survived by sisters, Jennifer (Tom) Beer; Barbara (Troy) Anderson, Rhonda (Roger Sr.) Fricker; nieces & nephews, Tracy Beer, Robyn Fricker, Randall Fricker, Roger Fricker Jr., Rory Fricker, Stephanie Bradford, Brandon Anderson (Candice Corsmeier); and dear friend, Kelley Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Bradford.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
