(Laurel, IN) – A Laurel Man was arrested Friday evening for dealing methamphetamine.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says four deputies went to a home on the 13-thousand block of Little Duck Creek in an attempt to locate 52-year-old Darrin C. Murray, who was wanted on an active felony warrant out of Fayette County.
Murray was outside the residence when he allegedly fled from the deputies as they were arriving at the home.
Investigators say he fled into the home but was arrested and allegedly armed with a handgun at the time he was cornered.
A search warrant was issued by a judge and deputies say they discovered items associated with dealing meth plus additional firearms including a high-powered rifle in the home.
Murray was arrested on additional dealing methamphetamine-related felonies and misdemeanors, and lodged in the Franklin County Security Center.
