
Born on July 14, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, Laura devoted her life to faith, compassion, music, and service to others. A caring and thoughtful minister, she pastored several congregations throughout her life, most recently serving the United Methodist Churches in New Salem and Sandusky, Indiana. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and dedication to helping others touched many lives over the years.
Laura was also a gifted vocalist who found great joy in music. She shared her love of singing through participation in numerous community choirs, where her voice and presence brought warmth and encouragement to those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Jacob Papp and his wife Rachel, along with their children Lydia, Caleb, Anna, and Peter; and Adam Papp and his wife Heather, along with their children Jonah and Luke. She is also survived by Michael Sallada and his wife Pam; her nephew Benjamin; and her niece Samantha Lewis and her husband Jon of Manassas, Virginia.
Laura’s life was marked by faith, love, music, and a deep desire to bring comfort and hope to others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Greensburg United Methodist Church, located at 301 N. Broadway, Greensburg, Indiana, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
