Larry Eugene Hadler, 83

Larry Eugene Hadler, Sr., 83, of Greensburg, passed away on July 20, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Larry was born on August 13, 1938 in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Harley and Barbara Joyce (Starks) Hadler. He was a life-long resident of Greensburg, and a 1956 graduate of Greensburg High School. On November 11, 1958, he married Vicki (Hill) Hadler.

Larry worked in the research center at Cummins Engine Company, retiring from there after 40-plus years. He spent much of his retirement managing and working on several rental homes. He loved the First Baptist Church of Greensburg, where he was an active member and a deacon. He and his wife traveled with the church to complete ministry service projects. For decades, Larry enjoyed spending time each year in Bradenton, Florida, boating, fishing, and working on home-improvement projects. Recent years kept him closer to home making memories with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Vicki Hadler; son, Larry E. (Lora) Hadler, Jr. of Greensburg; step-daughter Lana (Joe) Fritz of Tennessee; two granddaughters, Ashley Hadler (Kent) Winingham of Carmel and Larami (Philip) Schneider of Batesville; three great-grandchildren, W. Jack Winingham, Taylor Schneider, and Chase Schneider; and two sisters, Harlean VanArsdall of Greensburg and Karen Rae (James) Allen of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Greensburg on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at noon with Rev. Cliff Bunch officiating. Larry will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery.
