Lane Closures Planned on I-74 in Dearborn County

(Dearborn County, IN) – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors are scheduled to reduce I-74 in Dearborn County to one lane over Blue Creek next Tuesday (April 9) to complete a culvert replacement project.

The work will take place about three miles east of State Road 101 between mile markers 156 and 161, and is expected to be complete by early August, weather permitting.

Temporary barrier walls will be used along both the east and westbound slow lanes while the work is in progress.

This project is part of a $2.1 million contract awarded to Milestone Contractors in November 2023.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
