Lady Wildcat Netters Fall Short Against Lady Pirates

Franklin County High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Greensburg High School 3-0. 25-16, 25-18, 25-7

We traveled to Greensburg and played very well. But still fell to them in 3 sets. Greensburg has always been a tough competitor for FC. They have a strong front row lineup that can hit both lines and cross with ease. This makes the front row work harder to get a touch/block on the ball to slow it down/stop it for the back row defensive specialists. The FC front row did just this!!! We had multiple touches and blocks on Greensburg. When we started to stop them from hitting through, they began to tip over the blockers. This is tough in any team to defend. But I feel that we were a lot better prepared for this than we were in past years. I am very proud of how well this team played against Greensburg!!

Audrey Reister had 2 ace serves, 4 digs, 1 kill, and 3 assists. Makyah Richardson had 2 ace serves, 6 kills, 7 blocks, and 3 digs. Rachel Bischoff had 1 ace serve, 1 kill, 1 block, and 4 digs. Alex Gillman had 3 kills and 2 blocks. Charlotte Barrett had 2 kills, 3 blocks, 1 assist, and 4 digs. Mercedez Waddell had 1 block and 1 dig. Jalynn Rogers had 6 digs. Kelsey Vail had 8 digs. Rae Ertel had 1 dig. Kelly Layton had 5 assists.
