East Central traveled to Rushville tonight for our third conference match of the season. The Lady Trojans came out on top 25-16, 25-14, and 25-16.
‘We started off slow, but found our groove late in game one. It’s hard to gain momentum against Rushville because they are very scrappy and scramble to keep the ball in play. Overall, it was a good conference win.’ EC Coach Cassie Laker.
The East Central Junior Varsity Volleyball team won in two against Rushville 25 – 19 & 25 – 15. The team started off slow but was able to pull together to capture the win. This win makes their record 6 – 0.
Serves lead by Erin Wilhelm 11/13 with 4 aces, Therese Gregg 8/9 with 4 aces, and Kendall Gindling 8/8 with 5 aces.
Attacks came from Therese Gregg 6/10 with 2 kills, Breanne Fox 5/8 with 3 kills and Kendall Gindling 2/4 with 1 kill. Assists were from Becca Eckstein with 4 and Kendall Gindling with 3.
Next game: Thursday, August 28 vs Batesville. Game is at EC with Freshman and JV starting at 5.
