Versailles, IN – The South Ripley Lady Raiders played host to rival Jac-Cen-Del on Saturday night with the Pride Trophy on the line for the first time this season.
The game was never really close, with the Raiders dominating both sides of the ball for the majority of play. Leading the charge for the Raiders was Claire Samples, who led the game in points and was a co-leader in assists and steals. She posted 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Senior Lexi Franklin had a solid performance with 6 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Kaiya Rinear posted a near double-double with 10 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Aubrey Werner added to the scoring column with 10 points of her own with 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Katie Miller and Emily Parks rounded out the scoring for the Raiders with 4 and 5 points, respectively.
The Raiders handled the rival Eagles soundly, final score 65-27.
