The South Ripley Lady Raiders faced off against conference rival Southwestern Hanover on Thursday night, and the varsity squad delivered a strong performance to secure a 52-36 victory.
After a closely contested first quarter, the Lady Raiders turned up the heat in the second, using their tenacious defense to generate transition opportunities and pull away from the Lady Rebels. The win improves South Ripley’s varsity record to 12-9 for the season.
The JV team, however, saw their winning streak come to an end in a hard-fought game, falling to Southwestern Hanover 42-34. Despite the loss, the JV squad maintains a solid 13-7 record for the season.
