Lady Pirates Soccer Team Falls Short Against Lady Knights

SoccerThe Lady Pirates traveled to South Dearborn and lost 3-0 in an EIAC match. The loss drops the Lady Pirates to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.

Keeper McKella Lynette made 15 saves on the evening and defensive line did a nice job in pressing many runs made by the Lady Knights. Scoring opportunities were few for the Lady Pirates as they had 7 shots on goal on the evening. Taking shots were Maddi Hellmich, Emma Overmyer, Julia Pacilio and Kasey Moeller. Overall the Lady Knights controlled the ball and tempo of the game. After having a 1-0 halftime lead the hosts were able to put it away in the second half.

South Dearborn also won the JV half match 2-0. Emily Lowe had 21 saves and the Lady Pirates were forced into a defensive mindset for most of the match.

The Lady Pirates will travel to Union County Saturday morning for their next match.
