The North Decatur Lady Chargers Softball fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-1 loss to Greensburg on Tuesday.
The Lady Pirates scored on a groundout by Emma Deweese in the first inning, an error in the second inning, and a single by Allison Ripperger in the second inning.
ND lost despite out-hitting Greensburg four to three.
The Lady Pirates opened up scoring in the first inning, when Deweese grounded out, scoring one run.
Hermione Robinson took the win for Greensburg. Robinson surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
Keisha Crosland took the loss for The Lady Chargers. The right-hander allowed three hits and four runs over six innings, striking out four.
Sarah Swain, Crosland, Kacie Ogden, and Kennedy Stier each managed one hit to lead ND.
Melina Wilkison went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead The Lady Pirates in hits.
