The JV Lady Bulldogs were defeated Tuesday evening by a score of 9-1 to the visiting East Central Lady Trojans.  The game was close most of the way until the Trojans were able to put up 4 in the top half of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.  The JV Bulldogs lone run came in the bottom of the first when Sarah Ripperger singled to right field and advanced to second on the throw.  Ripperger then stole third and an errant throw allowed her to scamper home.
Ripperger and Anna Gerth had the two hits on the evening for the Bulldogs.
Morgan Biggs went all 6 innings on the mound in the loss; striking out 3 Trojans while scattering 12 hits.
Batesville JV Softball will next be in action Thursday evening as they will travel to Greensburg to take on the Lady Pirates.  First pitch will be immediately following the varsity game.
