Lady Chargers Win Big on Senior Night

On an emotional Senior Night, six Lady Charger basketball players suited up for their final home game at Cook Court, leaving an indelible mark on North Decatur High School and the community. Seniors Madi Allen, Clare Kinker, Kelsey Haley, Brooke Mauer, Emma Schoettmer, and Ally Whitaker were celebrated before delivering a commanding 65-8 win over Milan.

From the opening tip, North Decatur dominated, jumping out to a 22-3 first-quarter lead. Madi Allen led the charge with 13 points in the opening period, while Jo Whitaker contributed 4. The Charger defense smothered Milan, holding the Indians to just 3 points in the quarter.

The Lady Chargers maintained their intensity, outscoring Milan 43-5 over the final three quarters. Each senior had a chance to score in their last home game, a testament to the team’s depth and camaraderie. North Decatur improved to 14-6 on the season, finishing an impressive 8-2 at home.
