The North Decatur Chargers Varsity Softball team took the lead late and defeated Hauser Junior-Senior High School 5-1 on Thursday.
The game was tied at one with ND batting in the top of the sixth when North Decatur Chargers Varsity scored one run on a stolen base.
In the bottom of the third inning, The Lady Jets tied things up at one. H Taylor drove in one when Taylor singled.
Haley Arthur took the win for The Lady Chargers. Arthur surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
P McDanial took the loss for Hauser. McDanial went seven innings, allowing five runs on ten hits and striking out 13.
ND had ten hits in the game. Keisha Crosland and Bobbie-Jean Trask each racked up multiple hits. Crosland led The lady Chargers with four hits in four at-bats.
K Miester went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead The Lady Jets in hits.
