Lady Chargers Ground Lady Eagles

The North Decatur Lady Chargers Varsity Softball team sailed to an easy victory over The Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles School 8-2 on Tuesday.

The Lady Chargers fired up the offense in the first inning. North Decatur Chargers Varsity scored one run when Keisha Crosland doubled.

ND put up three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Sarah Swain and a double by Raegan Nobbe.

Crosland led the Lady Chargers to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The right-hander went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Haley Arthur threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Arthur recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for ND.

A Cullen took the loss for JCD. The hurler went seven innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits and striking out 14.

The Lady Chargers collected ten hits on the day. Crosland, Swain, and Macy Scudder all collected multiple hits for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. Scudder, Swain, and Crosland all had two hits to lead ND.

JCD Varsity Softball falls to North Decatur Jr-Sr 8 – 2.

Shaylee Volz led the Eagles at the plate going 2-3 with 1 RBI, I Run, and 2 Stolen Bases. Aundrea Cullen pitched all 7 innings striking out 14.
