Campbellsburg- The Lady Chargers were defeated on Saturday afternoon in the regional championship by the final score of 37-30 to the Linton Stockon Miners.
It was a tough, physical game that saw two stout defenses controlling the flow of the game. North trailed at the end of the first quarter 6-3 and at the half 13-11. Linton grew their lead to as many as 12 points in the 3rd quarter before North Decatur closed the gap.
North Decatur would get as close as 3 points in the final minute of the game before foul shooting would put the game out of reach. North Decatur ends the season with a conference and sectional title and a record of 18-7.
Seniors Ella Kunz and Kacie Ogden suited up for the final time as Lady Chargers and will be missed next season.
