For Greensburg, before the game, the Lady Chargers program honored those who are conquering cancer and remembering those who are no longer with us. The Coaches vs Cancer game is an opportunity that Coach Doug Laker loves to hold each season. Several community members in the stands were present, who have been directly or indirectly impacted by cancer. The Chargers controlled the game from start to finish; jumping out to a 20-6 first-quarter lead and they never turned back. The lead swelled to 33-12 at the halftime break. Through the final two quarters, the Lady Chargers continued to play well together and outpaced the Lady Spartans from Southwestern 26-3. The final score read 59-15 in favor of North Decatur. The win improves the team’s record to 13-6 (3-0) and one step closer to a back-to-back Mid-Hoosier Conference title with two conference games to go.
