The Lady Chargers of North Decatur continue their recent streak of outstanding running by winning their 3rd consecutive Division 2 Championship. On Saturday, at East Central, the Chargers defeated 8 opponents in route to the title. Leading the way and finishing in 3rd place was Dorothy Robbins. Ava Lecher crossed the line in 7th place with her best run of the season and freshman Jewel Verseman continued her strong running with an 8th-place finish. Lauren Miller and Madison Rohls continued their consistent running and Sophomore Olivia Reisman, freshman Emerson Gunn, and junior Cecilia Barber fought through some minor injuries as they crossed the finish line to round out the scoring for the Chargers.
The Lady Chargers look to continue their consistent running and are looking to make a push in lowering their times the upcoming week at South Decatur on Tuesday in the annual PhilippidesCup and round out the week at the always competitive Jac-Cen-Del Invite on Saturday.
