St. Louis hosted the opener for the Lady Cardinal’s basketball season. We were able to get both wins over the St. Lawrence Lady Panthers last night.
The 7th Grade Lady Cards won with a score of 43-10. We started the game off strong and held it for the remainder of the game also. Scoring for us were Claire Saner and Catherine Streator both with 10pts each, Izza Wonnell with 9, Ava Owens with 4, and Lilly Schebler, Rhea Miller, Sadie Wachsmann, Madison Wanstrath, and Kate Weber all with 2pts each. Lea Cossentino and Izzi Price both brought in some defense for us during the game. Ladies you did a great job! They now hold strong at 1-1 in the season.
The 8th Grade Lady Cardinals had a final score of 22-14. This was a close game overall. Scoring for the Lady Cards were Megan Bauer with 10pts, and Claire Saner and Catherine Streator with 6pts each. Haley Geisen, Summer Ratcliffe, and Anna Wanstrath may not have put up points but were huge defensively. Stealing the ball numerous times each and rebounding the ball. Nice job ladies they are at a 1-1 season.
