Lady Cards Battle St. Nick’s Lady Trojans

The 5th Grade Girls’ Basketball team traveled to St. Nicholas in Sunman to battle the Trojans on Thursday Night. The Cardinals had a slow start to the game, but mounted a great comeback, ultimately falling short to the Trojans, with a score of 11-8. Leading the scoring for Cardinals was Rachel Suttmann with 6 points and Cora Roth with 2 points.  The coaches are proud of every player’s effort and improvement throughout the season. Thank you to Isabel Imel, Bridget Lohmueller, Jaelyn Owens, Katelyn Rahe, Meg Ritter, Cora Roth, Rachel Suttmann, Karsyn Watson, and Paige Watters for your hard work this season.  Courtesy of Cardinals Coach Anne Suttman.

The 6th Grade Lady Cardinals lost their final game of the year to host St. Nicholas 15 to 11. Ainsley Sipples, Emily Schebler, Kenzie Maple, Maria Voegele and Lucy Abplanalp played their best game of the year even though the score says differently. Maple had 5 points, Sipples 4 and Abplanalp 2. The young ladies showed much improvement from their first game to now. I wish all of them the best in the future. Thanks to my dedicated assistant coach Jack Abplanalp for his help and expertise. Courtesy of Cardinals Coach Dan Abplanalp .
