The St. Louis 5th Grade Girls’ Basketball team traveled to St. Mary’s in North Vernon on Wednesday, January 23, for their first game of the season. It was a tough first game for the Cardinals, losing 32-6. Scoring for the Cardinals was Rachel Suttmann with 4 points and Jaelyn Owens with 2 points. The 6th Grade Lady Cardinals opened up the Basketball season Wednesday night at St. Mary’s in North Vernon. After a hard fought game the Cardinals lost. Offensively, Lucy Abplanalp had 10 points, Rachel Suttmann 4 points, Kenzie Maple1 point. Overall the Cardinals including, Anna Moore, Emily Schebler, Ainsley Sipples, Rylee Schrank, Maria Voegele, Maple and Abplanalp along with 5th graders, Rachel Suttmann, Bridget Lohmueller and Cora Roth played a very hard and aggressive game.
