The Batesville High School Varsity Tennis team traveled to Shelbyville and picked up a 3-2 victory.
Senior Chloe Saler won the only singles match of the night for the Lady Bulldogs. Saler defeated Grace Coomes 6-3 and 6-0 at No. 3.
The No. 1 doubles team of Laney Walsman and Cayman Werner were 7-5 and 6-1 winners over Adeline Hacker and Emma Sandman. At No. 2 doubles, Cara VanSickle and Malia Scheele teamed up to defeat Karlie Lawson and Riley Lee by the scores of 6-3 and 7-5.
Betsy Harmeyer and Summer Ratcliffe were defeated in singles play. Harmeyer lost to Gabbie Knox 6-3 and 6-1 at No. 1, while Ratcliffe lost 1-6, 6-4, and (7-10) at No. 2.
In Junior Varsity play, the Lady Bulldogs were winners in two matches.
Isabella Wonnell defeated Joslyn Jersan at No. 2 singles 8-4. Madison Wanstrath and Olivia Raab won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.
