Lady Bulldogs Middle School Hoopsters Victorious Over Lady Squires

The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs went on the road at South Dearborn and picked up the win 16-13 in a physical contest.

The Bulldogs allowed just 4 points in the first half, and outscored SD 12-9 in the second half to put away the victory.  Leading the way scoring was Kaylin Hinners and Elena Kuisel with 6 points each; followed by Billie Puente with 2 points; and Alyssa Nobbe with 2 points.

The girls move to 3-1 on the season, and are back in action tonight vs. Columbus Northside at home.

The Batesville Lady Bulldogs 8th Graders traveled to South Dearborn Monday night and defeated the Lady Squires 43 to 24 to improve their record to 4 and 0 for the season.

The Lady Bulldogs used their defense in the first half to build an early lead that helped secure the victory.  Offensively the Lady Bulldogs had a struggle early against the Lady Squires zone, but settled down and found the openings that lead to open shots.  The Lady Bulldogs were lead in scoring by Makayla Granger, who lead all players in scoring with 13, but she was followed closely by Emma Weiler and Ava Hanson each with 12.  Others scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Lil Tinker, Cora Deputy and Madelyn Pohlman each added 2 points.

The Lady Squires were lead in scoring by Kiersten Dixon, with 12.  Other scorers for the Lady Squires were Rebecca Hughes with 5, Ava Slayback added 3, and Maleah Todd and Hayle Brashears chipped in 2 each.
