Lady Bulldogs Middle School Basketball Results

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball fell short after a hard-fought battle against North Decatur, 33-30.

After a slow start, bulldogs fought back on the defensive end and started connecting on shots in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to pull out the victory.

Next Game is Tuesday @ Greendale. Good Luck Bulldogs!

The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs faced a scrappy North Decatur team last night, but improved their record to 1-2, winning 18-12.

After leading most of the first half, the Lady Dog’s went in at halftime down  9-8 on a late 3 point basket by the Chargers. The Dogs played great team basketball, especially on the defensive side allowing only 3 points in the 2nd half.

The Lady Dogs had several deflections, steals and held the Chargers to only 1 shot opportunity by blocking out and rebounding well.  Great defense led to better shot opportunities and the bulldogs took advantage knocking down some big baskets that led to the 18-12 win!!

Great job Lady Bulldogs!!

The 8th Grade Batesville Girls Basketball played hard on both ends of the floor to pull out an overtime win against Columbus Northside, 44-43.

It was a total team effort on defense all game long with many deflections and rebounds, including Sophie Gesell with 6 rebounds and Ava Powner with 5. Offensively the team executed well and worked hard to get open looks. Leading scorers were Aly Peters and Lydia Haskamp each with 12 and Marlee Obermeyer with 6. The Bulldogs never gave up, after trailing almost the entire game.

The next game is Thursday against North Decatur. Great job Bulldogs!
