The Batesville Lady Bulldogs (6-2) fell to a talented Benjamin Rush team 34 to 23 Thursday night in Rushville.
The Bulldogs found themselves down 22-11 at half, but battled back to in the third quarter to cut the lead to 25-23. However, it wasn’t enough as the Lady Cubs pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win.
Timbre Davies and Jadyn Harrington led the way on defense, while Makayla Granger was the leading scoring with 8 points. Granger was followed by Emma Weiler (7 points), Ava Hanson (6 points), and Harrington with 2 points.
The Bulldogs continue their mid-season marathon as they play their 5th game in 9 days Monday night at BMS vs. South Ripley. Come out and support the 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs who look to stay undefeated at home this season.

The 8th Grade Lady Bulldogs traveled to Rushville and were defeated by the Benjamin Rush Lady Cubs 51-17.
The Lady Bulldogs could not get anything going from the opening tip, and saw their seasonal record fall to 6 wins against 2 loses. Breanna Wells led the Lady Bulldogs with 9. Others scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Ashley Nobbe, Sarah Ripperger, Gabby Elston and Called Kaiser with 2 apiece.
The Lady Cubs were led by Annika Marlow with 16, Olivia Yager had 10, and Lexi Morris with 9.
The Lady Bulldogs will return to action on Monday as they host the South Ripley Lady Raiders. The 7th grade game will tip-off at 5:30.
